How to Create a New Stripe Account

Follow these steps to create and activate your Stripe account so you can accept credit card and ACH payments through Lessen Pro.

Go to Stripe's signup page

Visit: https://dashboard.stripe.com/register

Enter Your Email + Create A Password

  • Use an email you want tied to your business payments
  • Create a secure password
  • Click Create account

Verify Your Email

  • Stripe will send a verification link to your inbox
  • Click Verify email before continuing

Start the "Activate Payments" Setup

  • In your Stripe Dashboard, click Activate payments → Start setup
This step is required before you can accept live payments.

Add Your Business Details

Stripe will ask for:

  • Business type (Individual/Sole Prop, LLC, Corporation, etc.)
  • Legal business name
  • EIN (if applicable)
  • Business address
  • Industry
  • Website or product description

Enter Your Personal Information

For identity verification, you'll need:

  • Legal name
  • Birthdate
  • SSN (last 4 digits for most U.S. users)
  • Home address
This is required by financial compliance laws (KYC — Know Your Customer).

Add your bank account information

This is where Stripe will deposit your payouts:

  • Routing number
  • Account number
  • Account type
You can use a business or personal bank account depending on your setup.

Review Payout Schedule and Confirm Details

Stripe will show you:

  • Payout timing
  • Deposit details
  • Verification steps

Confirm everything is correct before continuing.

⚠ Important for Lessen Pro users — Stripe Tax

Stripe may ask if you want to enable Stripe Tax.

Select NO  — Do not enable Stripe Tax.

Lessen Pro already calculates tax. Enabling Stripe Tax will cause double taxation on your invoices.

Submit

Click Submit to complete activation. Your Stripe account is now ready!

Enable Credit Card and ACH payment methods

After account activation, enable your payment methods:

1 Go to Settings → Payments → Payment Methods
2 Confirm Cards is enabled — if not, click Enable
3 Scroll to Available payment methods
4 Find US Bank Account (ACH Direct Debit)
5 Click Enable

You're all set! Your Stripe account is created, activated, and ready to accept Credit Card and ACH payments through Lessen Pro.
