How to Import Customers into Lessen Pro
Efficiently manage your customer list by using the provided CSV template to upload data. This guide walks you through formatting your file, resolving import errors, and saving new customer contact information to the system.
Before You Begin
The import process has three steps:
- Step 1 — Prepare & Upload: Download the CSV template, fill in your data, and upload the file
- Step 2 — Review Data: Review and correct any issues flagged by the system
- Step 3 — Import into Lessen Pro: Confirm and complete the import

Stage 1: Prepare & Upload

Navigate to Customers
From the navigation bar, click the Customers tab.

Click the "Import Customers" Icon
Click the Import Customers icon in the top right area of the Customers page to open the import flow.
|
|

Download the CSV Template
Click Download CSV Template. The template includes columns for customers, contacts, and locations. Fill in your data, then save the file before uploading.

⚠️ Do not change the column headers
The CSV template headers must remain exactly as provided. Changing them will cause the import to fail.

|
Required data
- Customer name
- At least one location and address
|
|
Formatting rules
- One location per row
- Phone format: XXX-XXX-XXXX
|
|

Upload Your Data
Once your CSV is complete and saved, click Upload your data to proceed to the next step.

Accepted Format
- CSV only
- Max 20MB
- Up to 5,000 customers and locations per file

Stage 2: Review Data

Review and Correct Any Issues
The system will flag any rows with errors. Review each issue and make the necessary corrections directly in the review panel. Required fields that are missing will be highlighted in red.

Click "Save Changes"
Once all data has been reviewed and corrected, click Save changes to confirm your edits and proceed to the final step.

Stage 3: Import into Lessen Pro

Click "Import"
When the system shows Ready to import, click the Import button to complete the process. Your customer data will be saved to Lessen Pro.

💡 Pro Tips
- Double-check your details before moving on to avoid sync errors.
- Required fields will be highlighted in red if they are missing or incorrect.
- You can delete the example data from the template before uploading.
- You can always re-upload corrected rows later if needed.
