Before creating your first job, complete the steps below to ensure your services, pricing, team, and payments are properly configured.

Add your business information

Configure your business details, branding, and communication settings.

Business Details

Review and complete the following. This information appears on quotes, work orders, and invoices.

  • Business name
  • Contact information
  • Business address
  • Tax settings (if applicable)

Branding

Customize how your business appears to customers. Your branding will be reflected on customer-facing documents and communications.

  • Business logo

Customer Communication

Control how customers receive updates. This ensures customers receive quotes, invoices, and job updates automatically.

  • Email and text notification settings
  • Customer communication preferences

Tag Management

Create tags to organize customers, locations, and work. Tags help you:

  • Categorize and filter records
  • Identify job types or service groups
  • Keep operations organized

Connect your payment account

Connect Stripe to send invoices and accept payments directly within Lessen Pro.

➡️ Navigate to: Business Settings → Payments

Connecting your payment account allows you to:

  • Send secure payment links
  • Accept card or ACH payments
  • Track payment status
  • Get paid faster

Create your pricebook

Set up your services and pricing so you can quickly build quotes and work orders.

➡️ Navigate to: Pricebooks

Add:

  • Services you offer
  • Pricing (lump sum or itemized)
  • Optional line items
A structured pricebook helps standardize pricing and save time when creating work.

Add your employees

Add technicians and team members who will perform work.

➡️ Navigate to: Employee Management

Enter:

  • Employee name
  • Contact information
  • Role and permissions
This allows you to assign work and schedule visits.

Add customers and locations

Create customer profiles and service locations before creating work.

➡️ Navigate to: Customers

Add:

  • Customer name
  • Contact information
  • Service location(s)
Once added, you can create quotes, work orders, and invoices for each customer.

Create your first work order

You're now ready to create and manage work.

➡️ Navigate to: Work → Create Work Order

From there, you can:

  • Select a customer
  • Add services
  • Schedule visits
  • Track job progress

What happens next

Once setup is complete, you can manage your business entirely within Lessen Pro — from creating work to scheduling visits and collecting payment. You're ready to run jobs, not paperwork.
