Common questions about using the Lessen Pro mobile app without an internet connection.

Overview

Offline Mode allows technicians to continue working in low-signal or no-connection areas. The app detects connectivity automatically and switches between online and offline modes without manual intervention. All work completed offline is saved to the device and syncs once a stable connection is restored.

What can I do offline?

While offline, technicians can:

  • View work orders, leads, and recurring work orders
  • Check in and check out of jobs
  • Add notes
  • Update services

All work is saved on the device and syncs automatically once you're back online.

How do I know if I'm offline?

The app displays an offline indicator and switches automatically when it detects an unstable or lost connection. Once connectivity is restored, the app refreshes on its own — no manual action needed.

I completed a job but it isn't showing in the portal.

The job is likely still queued on the device from when it was completed offline. Open the Sync Center to see any pending items. Once you have a stable connection, they will upload automatically.

📋 Check the Sync Center regularly after working in areas with poor signal to confirm all items have uploaded.

Why can't I tap anything after coming back online?

Lessen Pro briefly locks actions while a sync completes to prevent data conflicts. Wait for the sync to finish and the app will return to normal.

If you no longer need the pending change, you can discard it from the Sync Center to unlock the app immediately.

Why do some dates show "Not Available in Offline Mode"?

Only a set window of your schedule is cached to the device when offline. Dates outside that window require a live connection to load. Once you're back online, those dates will become available again.

Why can't I schedule a return trip offline?

Scheduling requires a live connection to check availability. You will see "Not Available in Offline Mode" for this action until you're back online.

What happens if I discard a sync?

Discarding removes the pending change from the device. The change will not be saved to Lessen Pro.

⚠️ Important: Only discard a pending sync if you are certain the change is no longer needed. This action cannot be undone.

  • Check the Sync Center after working in areas with poor signal to confirm all items have uploaded
  • Wait for a sync to complete before taking further action — the lock is brief and prevents data conflicts
