Mobile App: Offline Mode

No internet? No problem. Continue completing work orders and your changes will sync automatically when your connection is restored.

Overview

Offline Mode allows you to continue working on work orders even when you do not have internet or cell service.

Any updates made while offline will automatically sync once your device reconnects to the internet.

What You Can Do in Offline Mode

While offline, you can:

  • View assigned work orders
  • Update work order statuses
  • Complete work orders
  • Add notes and service details
  • Upload and save photos
  • Continue working without interruption in low-service areas

Once your device reconnects to the internet, your updates will automatically sync to Lessen Pro.

Before You Start

Complete the steps below before using Offline Mode.

Install the Latest App Version

Download and install the latest version of the Lessen Pro mobile app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.

Prepare Your Device

Before heading to the job site:

  • Make sure your device has enough storage space for photos
  • Allow camera and storage permissions for the Lessen Pro app

Enabling Offline Mode

When you are in an area with low or no connectivity, the Lessen Pro mobile app will automatically detect the connection issue. A banner will appear displaying Unable Connection. Select Switch to Offline to continue working as usual.

📝 Note

While in Offline Mode, you can continue updating Work Orders, adding notes, uploading photos, and completing work without interruption.

Check-in and check-out timestamps will still be recorded based on the actions taken in the app, ensuring work activity is properly documented for customer records and internal tracking.

Sync Your Work Order Updates

Once the job is completed in the mobile app during offline mode, all notes, photos, and status updates will sync automatically when internet connection is restored.

  1. Connect to the internet
  2. Log in to the Lessen Pro app
  3. Allow the app time to load and sync your assigned Work Orders

📝 Note

The following Work Orders will be available in Offline Mode:

  • Work Orders scheduled within 1 week before today
  • Work Orders scheduled within 3 weeks after today
  • Work Orders in the following statuses: Scheduled, On the Way, or Onsite

Checking Sync Status in Sync Center

Once you are back online, confirm that your offline updates were successfully synced.

Open the Lessen Pro app.

Select More.

Tap Sync Center. The Sync Center displays a log of:

  • Pending sync activity
  • Work Orders that require additional review due to a sync error

⚠️ Sync Error: If a sync error occurs, review the Work Order details and retry the sync once you have a stable internet connection.

💡 Best Practice

  • Log in and load your Work Orders before arriving at areas with poor service
  • Reconnect to Wi-Fi or cellular service as soon as possible after completing work
  • Check Sync Center regularly to confirm updates were successfully submitted
  • Notify your dispatcher or office team once Work Orders have synced so internal workflows and billing can be completed in a timely manner
  • Keep the Lessen Pro app open for a few minutes after reconnecting to allow photos and notes time to upload
  • Avoid uninstalling the app or clearing app data before all Work Orders have synced successfully
  • Make sure your device battery stays charged while working offline to avoid losing progress

📌 Important Notes

  • Offline updates remain saved on your device until internet service is restored.
  • Photos and notes added offline will sync automatically once reconnected.
  • Large photo uploads may take additional time depending on connection strength.
  • If updates do not appear immediately after reconnecting, allow a few minutes for the sync process to complete.
